Does bacon eyes mean yes or no? As big as the Northfield lot is, i'm sure the run-off would not be a problem for a non-shifter kart. If not NORA, there was mention of another autocross club nearby mid-ohio/ columbus that does allow karts?

Bacon eyes means that Eric doesn't know of a diplomatic way to say "it depends on who you are" as an answer to that question. :itchy:

OVR and NWOR allow karts at their events and it is the worst thing in the world.

We are checking the new insurance for karts this week. If we can do it, we will have to run them in such a way that it will not slow the events down too much.

The big and really only issue people seem to have with karts, is at some places, it seems to bring the events to a screeching halt. But honestly, the places that seem to run slow with karts tend to also be places that run slow regardless. I think if we do run karts, we can work it to were it just works into the flow and should not be an issue.

When you consider too that we probably wont have any kid karts, it wont be bad. Its the ones going 6 MPH with a parent walking behind it that drive me up a wall.

I have run my kart [125cc] at a few autocross events and we generally are running the fastest lap times of the day. I just looked up the results of the NWOR which run karts and they too are consistantly the quickest class. I have been at events where they had run kid classes and yes I agree, it will slow down the show. Maybe if an age limit is put on it or simply go with the SCCA class of 100cc pipe or 125cc open. I would love to run with you guys and give you my money since its only a 15 minute drive to your site versus 1-1/2 to 2 hours at NWOR or OVR.
Thank you for considering.
I'll be glad to let others try my kart also. You'd be surprised of the speed sensation of 60mph 4 inch off the ground.
Scott

Waiting on a reply from the a few different insurance places regarding karts, minimum age to compete and minimum age to ride along in a car.
